A little about me…
I grew up in Houston, Texas, but I feel most at home in the San Juan Mountains of southwest Colorado. A bit burned out after 15+ years of club and collegiate soccer, I left ball sports behind and dove into running, biking, yoga, skiing, and general outdoor adventuring, lucky to have Telluride and Boulder, CO, as my backyard for many years.
I graduated from the College of William and Mary with a BA in International Relations and a minor in Economics and received my MA in International Policy Studies from the Middlebury Institute of International Studies. After grad school, I spent many years in the startup world, which included several weeks at a time designing and facilitating programs for founders and CEOs of socially and environmentally responsible businesses in unfamiliar places – from the English countryside to a small Malaysian island to the heart of Hong Kong. Despite the long hours and jet lag, I loved figuring out when and how to exercise, often recruiting others to join me.
Now, I’m a mom to the coolest toddler. I’m especially passionate about supporting women as we continue to pursue our athletic dreams alongside the various transitions we might experience in our careers, family decisions, and beyond.
I’m a proud teammate of Distance Project NYC.
